Sabine Freter

Born and raised in the university city Göttingen Sabine had a passion for numbers and a keen eye for details. This led to her first job as bank clerk. However, Sabine had a thirst of knowledge and a desire to explore the world around her. So, she decided to further her education and studied geography, which allowed her to better understand the interconnectedness of the world and the impact that geography has on businesses and communities. With this new found knowledge, Sabine first moved into project management in a bank (in a PMO, requirement engineering and application management team) using her skills to deliver successful projects. The ability to think outside the box and the desire to be more involved in the technical side of things, led her to start working as a software tester. She soon became known for her attention to detail and her ability to find bugs and issues that others had missed. Soon Sabine was offered the role of Test Coordinator and Test Manager where she could combine her love for detail and her passion for managing projects. In this role she led teams of testers, developed testing strategies and processes, and ensured that all software releases were of the highest quality. In particular she has much fun to create, control, monitor and improve defect management processes and to act as an interface between the different stakeholders.
